Sophie Scherger – Being Personal but Not Personal

My German friend Sophie Scherger and I talk about being personal but not personal within the climate movement. Sometimes, activism is so radical that it’s inaccessible to many, leading to a growing disconnection between activism and the world. As a follow-up to the previous episode, we discuss that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to activism and that it’s essential to find your own strength. We have to show how diverse the movement can be to avoid small-minded activism. It is about building realistic utopias and radical incrementalism. Opinion and knowledge can change through exchanging them, and we have to find shared values and common ground.
